After Hours Pediatrics provides urgent care in a nurturing environment.  We believe that health care providers should work together with you to best meet the needs of your child.

An After Hours Alternative to the Emergency Room and
Hospital Urgent Care

After Hours Pediatrics is not a substitute for the ER or hospital urgent care.  However, most children's illnesses and injuries do not require such extensive facilities.

The following are four reasons to choose After Hours Pediatrics as an alternative to the ER or hospital urgent care:

(1) The cost associated with typical pediatric care at the ER or hospital urgent care is extremely high.  Often times, the cost of an ER visit or hospital urgent care visit is more than 3 times the cost of the same visit to After Hours Pediatrics.

(2) Typically, After Hours Pediatrics will see your child in under an hour.  The average wait time at the ER for weeknight, weekend or holiday visits is between 4-6 hours, and at a hospital urgent care, only slightly shorter.

(3) Your child will be seen by a board certified pediatrician at After Hours Pediatrics.  At the ER or hospital urgent care, your child will be seen by a doctor with knowledge and bedside manners better suited to treat adults.

(4) Your child will be in a kid-friendly setting with other children.  At the ER or hospital urgent care, your child will be among ill adults and exposed to severe trauma scenes that may frighten them.

We Work Directly with Your Pediatrician

After Hours Pediatrics works directly with your pediatrician.  After a visit with us, we will fax our notes to your pediatrician.  These notes keep your pediatrician informed of your child's medical issues and the care administered by us.

After Hours Pediatrics carries most of the commonly dispensed medications.  We can dispense the full course of a medication directly from our office.  This means you don't have to make another stop at the pharmacy after your visit with us.  In addition to dispensing medications, we sell nebulizers to patients with asthma.
